Summary of qualifications
Currently certified as a school psychologist and administrator by the Maryland State Department of Education. Qualifications include over 20 years as a school psychologist with experience in rural, urban and overseas environments. Assignments have included special programs for emotionally disabled middle and high school students, preschool assessment and treatment programs. Most recent responsibilities included supervising the delivery of mental health services to 20 schools in Baltimore. Over the last few years major duties included training staff in trauma response, crisis management and the management of disruptive behavior. This duty included writing the training manual on Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Management Plans. Another significant duty was developing trauma informed discipline procedures and providing the training to administrators in these policies.
I have graduate degrees in psychology and public health/administration from Arizona State University, Memphis State University and Johns Hopkins.
