Minister Sandra Mizell Chaney is a gifted and anointed Motivational Speaker, Preacher, Workshop Facilitator and Author. She has spoken to women from all walks of life, offering them words of encouragement and ways to improve their emotional and spiritual well-being. By sharing her personal life – trials and triumphs – women relate to and openly embrace her.

Her astounding testimony inspires women across the country to take charge of their lives, leaving them impassioned and hopeful for change. Sandra is a conqueror of childhood abuse, a previous abusive marriage, single parenting and homelessness. Sandra’s spiritual journey has led her to a renewed life which she credits God’s intervention and purpose as her foremost source of empowerment. Through her experiences, Sandra grew to value her courage as a survivor and realized that she “Can do all things through Christ who is her strength and refuge.”

Sandra has presented and facilitated numerous seminars and workshops around the country. She is Vice-Chairperson of the Board of Directors of The Domestic Violence Inter-Faith Coalition in Maryland, which is dedicated and focused on educating the faith community of domestic violence and sexual assault. She is a Certified Crisis Counselor for the DC Department of Mental Health; Certified National Trainer for Faith Trust Institute, a domestic violence and sexual assault training center located in Seattle, Washington; and Consultant for The Office on Violence Against Women

Through her work and personal experience, Sandra founded Building Families, Inc. a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing awareness to and educating communities about family violence all over the world. In October 2000 and 2001, Sandra was honored at My Sister’s Place Annual Board of Director’s event for her outreach services to the community. In addition, on February 14, 2004, Sandra was honored at the Annual Dinner of The Black Church and Domestic Violence Institute in Atlanta, with the “Fruit of Her Hand” Award (Proverbs 31).

Sandra resides in Maryland with her husband, whom she knows is a true blessing from God. She is a member of Breath of Life Ministries, pastored by Rev. Henry “Rex” and Reverend Renee’ Cole. In addition to Sandra’s commitment to her family and God’s purpose for her life, she honors abused and spiritually wounded women and children by sharing her gift for connecting with their soul and her ability to meet them right where they are. Sandra’s know that she is “More than a Conqueror through Christ who loves her.”
